Ooc// Yay! Apollo answered finally =) Don't worry, I haven't forgotten 'bout ya and Ares, lol. I will TRY and make mine long and aleast 1 third as good as your post. =P
Allura's heart lurched as she watched Ares's red figure slip away into the hills of green. She didn't know if she should go after him. He hadn't said he didn't hate her, but that look, the look in his eyes, it was pain and regret now, not anger. She looked at the other horses, first at Bear who was slowly, tiredly, walking away. It seemed everyone was walking away from her, except a small red-bay mare, and Thunder, the large, black stallion.
She looked up at his cranium, then looked into his dark orbs. They showed sympathy, care. She couldn't take it. How could someone still feel for sorry for her, when it was obvious all this was her fault? She had to go after Ares. Maybe, just maybe, he would give her an answer. Tell her it was over, that he hated her too much. Or tell her he could forgive her and thta he still loved her. Whatever the response, she needed to know.
Lookinng over at the other mare, then back at Thunder, she tossed her fine cranium then turned and ran.
Her hooves pounded the grassy turf and her legs powered her swiftly forward after Ares. She pushed herself hard, trying to catch up. Her mane and tail became waves of black in the wind and her breath became ragged. Still she galloped on, racing after her heart, which Ares held. She needed him, couldn't he see that? Maybe it wasn't clear at first but it must have been now.
Allura soon glimsped Ares's rred form within 10 strides. She was beginning to tire, but dug deep to keep going. Her strides ate the turf, hooves pounded madly. And at last, she drew abreast Ares.
" Stop running for a moment, please."
She managed to gasp. Her black form slowed gradually from it's mad pace. First to a light canter, then a trot, a walk and finally a halt. She stood, her hooves planted firmly, her midnight cranium high and her optics filled with determination. She would get an answer from Ares this time, she had to.

Storm trotted along, not expecting to catch up soon or wanting to. He didn't want to seem like a dependant stalker. These are the first wild horses he had encountered and was planning to stay with those horses. He was not prepared to go out alone.

In leaving you, I turned away from passion So that my conscience still might spare my heart. Though paradise has never been my fashion, I cannot stand your pain now we're apart. Love does not leave when it is bid farewell, Looking back to wave one last goodbye. Love stays, though vow and circumstance compel One to ignore its unrepentant cry. Vases hold the loveliest of flowers Even as they open, bloom, and fade; You and I must hold our sweetest hours, Of hope and need and fierce, fierce pleasure made, Until they vanish in the darkening shade.
Audits flipped back against his reddened cranium as he heard hooves thundering toward him. Snorting, his limbs extended into a full gallop, reaching out toward the soil. His red mane became a wave of red and his crimson hued tail flung out like a banner in the wind. His breaths became more forced and choked between breathing and sobbing lightly. Ebony orbs caught Allura's shadowed form move past him and stop in front of his path.
Ares lurched to a stopped and turned his cranium away, so Allura would not see the tears streaming down his face, but of course she would see. Why? The question again stung him. His lyrics broke out from his vocals. They were soft and like he didn't want to even seem to live anymore.
"What do you want? Bear would be better for you...better than I could be."
When his lyrics stopped they were already almost in a whisper. His boa was lowered and turned as to keep his orbs and tears away from Allura. His eyes that he wished not to share. Audits were flattened to his skull and his whole posture seemed to be affected by the whole ordeal. One audits flicked toward the side as he heard the other stallion approaching. What was he doing? Stalking? Forgetting Allura his cranium raised and turned to see the approaching shape if the stallion. He forgot about his tears...he forgot that Allura was there. Now...she would be able to see his eyes and tears.
His orbs....they were something. A mixture of sadness, confusion, pain, anger? Who could tell? Ah, that's it. Before this they had been lively and had a fire in them. Now, They were different. Suddenly he realized what he had done and turned his orbs quickly so Allura could not look directly in them. Then as he turned them...you could tell. Something he knew the mare had wanted to see. Love, it was very faint beneath the pain and sadness, but still....it was there.

Allura felt Ares's lyrics like a blow to her chest. Couldn't he see he was the best thing to ever happen to her? Why else would she come after him, if she didn't love him so completely. If she didn't need him. She saw the approaching stallion at the same instant Ares turned his head to look at Thunder aswell. What did he want? To see more of this ordeal to amuse himself? Well, now it was about to finish.
Her dark orbs stared into Ares's, seeing the pain, the tears. And what was that last thing? She shook her head lightly, unsure if she'd really seen that faint hue of love deep in his orbs. But as she peered closely, she saw it was there. Faint, but there.
She breathed in slowly, then felt her whole body shiver with delight. He still loved her, she was sure. Surer than anything in her life had ever been, was her love for him aswell. No matter how many stallions crossed her path, Ares would still be the only one to hold her precious, fragile heart.
"No Ares, no stallion, even Bear, would ever be better for me then you. I don't just love you, I need you. You hold my entire heart, my world. It's all so fragile right now that if you leave me forever, I'm sure I'll die of heart break. Your the best thing in this whole universe to ever happen to me. Why can't you see that, now anyways? I know before when Bear showed up it might not have seemed like it, but you are. Believe me please. I am soo sorry. But I still love you and I still need you. It's your choice now though."
She whispered as she gazed painfully into his optics with her own.

Heartbreak, how could one experience that which had ben a lifestyle. Storm had lived through heartbreak, yet never felt it. Never had Storm seen his young. Only once did he see the mothers of those young. He did not know how heartbreak works. He wasn't even sure how love works. His life was loveless. His soul was never full. There had always been a void in his heart.
He looked on at the two horses, not fully understanding exactly what was taking place. He looked on,trying to learn.

Ooc// I was bored so i deiced to write a poem, like everyone else =P It kinda sucks, but, i TRIED lol. Oh, the heart break I have caused, And the mess I surely made, Is it possible, That it's with Bear I should have stayed? Yet by Ares I'm quite taken, But it's become a mess. I'm so scare now I've becomw shaken, If I lost him, I would die, I confess. Please tell me now, Won't you tell me true, Because I am so sure, That I love you. Am I still the one you love, As surely as the stars, Still shine bright above? Do you love me so, as I love you?

Allura shifted uncomfortablely as she waited to hear what Ares would say. Would it be what she wanted to hear, that he loved her? Or would his reply be the thing she feared most, rejection. She could only wait and see.
Her brown orbs still stared into his, and her ears perked forward alertly as she shifteed her weight from one slender leg to the other.

Ares stared shamefully at the soil as Allura spoke. Her words stung at his heart. Why had he not seen it? He had seen it, but.... As Allura finished, Ares looked back into her orbs. His lyrics broke out from his vocals, barely above a whisper.
"Allura there are many things you don't know about me, and many you don't want to know. I-I'm sorry....Also I still love you it's ju-....."
Ares stopped suddenly and looked away quick. He heard the other stallion and his audits flicked flattening to his skull. Orbs turned upon the stud and his limb lifted then hit the ground again in a stamp. Snorting Ares glared at the stallion. Why did he follow? Did he have his eyes on Allura? Anger flowed freely through Ares. If this stallion made wrong move....it could be his last.

Ooc// This peom has to do with my life, but I've been wanting to make it for a while.Besides,it's something to do while Apollo is posting.
Gone is my home Gone is my heart Trapped in the debree that was left behind
Gone are the bright stars that had shown so bright Replaced by the burning city lights
Gone are the natural trees and forests I have explored Replaced by lamp posts and tall city walls
Gone is my childhood Gone is my soul Replaced by sorrows and the reality of life
...Gone...
Storm knew that the other stallion had been glaring at him. He stomped his foot showing that he was not intimidated.

Audits flattened tighter to his skull and Ares snorted. This stallion had exceeded his limit. Stalking Allura, listening in on the conversation. Cranium rose high and boa arched proudly. Then he remembered. He was Allura's guardian, and this stallion seemed to be getting on her nerves, as well as his. Shaking his cranium, Ares trotted down toward the stallion.
His flints dug deeply into the ground at his powerful strides. Dust and soil particles were flown out behind his diamond sharp hooves. Orbs held anger, but they seemed darker than usual. Coming a stride away from the stallion, Ares's lyrics broke out. His voice seemed darker than before.
"Leave you ingrate. Before I have you sent to your grave, by my own hooves!"

Storm's ears flattened upon his solid square-built cranium. He closes his eyes and he did not know what to do. Yet,he did know what not to do. He stood there ready, because if he fought then Allura would be all the more upset. His muscles tightened under his silk coat. Showing a perfect standard for his breed.
All he could do was defend himself.

Her ears flickered forward, as she listened to Ares speak. Then his voice trailed off and he spun angrily towards Thunder. Allura watched unhappily. She didn't want there to be anymore fighting. She swished her silken tail anxiously as she spoke.
"Please you two, no more fighting. It's all so pointless.Maybe I should just leave, I cause too much trouble that I'm not worth."
He voice had started out strong, then had begun to falter near the end. Her black form shoke as fresh sobs escaped her lips. Turning quickly, she shot off like a bullet. Her legs were tired from her earlier runs and her throat was raw from all the crying she had done, but her pain drove her onwards. Her shadowy limbs became blurs as she raced wildly over the grassy hills. She had no clue where she was headed, but it had been obvious the best thing would be for her to leave. To leave, and never come back.

Audits flicked as he heard Allura's words. Spinning around he caught a fleeting glimpse of her shadowed form. Ares's orbs widened in fear and his limbs struck out madly at the soil. His flints dug into deeply then released their hold, moving him toward Allura. No....he had to catch up. Fire seemed to burn inside of his limbs and his breathing was raspy and pronounced. Topping a hill, he saw nothing. Was she gone?
Ares stood atop the hill, orbs surveying the land. No one. His limbs became stiff, and wobbled beneath his weight. Falling to the grassy ground with a hard thud, Ares clenched his teeth. No. Raising his dial to the air he let out a pleading neigh, it echoed across the fields....but he heard no answer. Pain shot through his body. It was all his fought.

Allura heard Ares's whinny loud and pleading, but she couldn't bring herself to answer it. She wanted to run back to him, to be with him. But she'd caused too many problems, too much pain.
Her black limbs were no longer blurs. They moved slowly, tiredly now. Allura's head was low as she walked, and her heart was even lower. She felt nothing but pain, sadness. She'd had both Redwood and Apollo that loved her, amybe more, but now, she had no one. She even hated herself.
She stood tiredly, at the very edge of the Redwoods and gazed back the way she had come. She'd never really been one for turning back, but now..maybe she should. She loved Ares with every bit of her heart, her soul, herself. There was nothing in the world that could break her feeling for him now.
I...I need him. She thought longingly. But he doesn't even want me.
Her heart felt heavy and seemed to drag her down. She felt her black form slid to the ground between the Redwood's and the human lands. Her dark orbs closed against the tears and she slept, knowing she'd wake soon but wishing she never would.

Storm was frightened, he was alone. Alone with a stallion that obviously wanted to hurt him. He whinnied frightfully and ran, trying to find any sign of a friendly horse. Hearing, watching, and smelling anything familiar that would lead him to someone.
Fear had heightened his senses, he sprinted, his featherings making his feet look as if floating. He was compelled towards the woods. He whinnied, looking for company, anyone to be around. The thunderous pound from his massive hooves that gave him his name was heard throughout the area.

Kala's fiery form moved from the cover of the wood's shadows then in front of the large black stallion.
"What's the hurry? You look...unsettled."
She said anxiously. She was never good with dealing with feelings.

Storm stops in surprise, almost tripping in the process.
"Allura...she's gone. I'm concerned about her."
His solid cranium went down and his audits flattened.

Kala's orbs flashed dangerously. What was with everyone and that stupid mare anways? So what, she was pretty. Big deal. She was always a two-timing cheat, if the stories were true. She tossed her fire-tinted cranium in annoyance and swished her silken banner.
"Whatever, she can take care of herself!"
She snapped, instantly wishing she hadn't. Storm was one of the few horses she had actually talken to since her arrival.
"I'm sorry, I just don't see what all the fuss is about."

He would've yelled at this rouge horse. He had never yelled at a mare before. He never intends to do it either. His ear twitch and swiveled to the back.
"Sorry m'lady, I must go."
He turned and galloped, hopefully to what he was expecting to find.Ooc// Ahem
