Toff stood next to the pond. The lilies pulled the opposite direction as the rough wind pushed them. She gave a humming-growling angered Nicker. Her clouded eyes began to water. She reared. She layed herself down, Coat pushed into the wrong direction as she dropped, but she didn't care. The clouds slowly came as the hours passed. She fell alseep woke to feeling water droplets smashing her. Unuasual, she normally woke up when it started... They stung her, each smashing her and stinging her like fire. She went under a tree like a foal under it's moms neck. She sighed, remembering her mother but not able to sleep as it stung. Though she didn't want to, memories came to her. She was distracted by the crack of thunder. She wasn't sure if she was crying or not. She made an attempt to get home. hearing only wind and the shaking of the trees, she couldn't feel vibrations or hear anything. She yelled for help, but the thunder struck again, too loud. She yelled again. She stepped forward, dizzily, her blindness pushing her into the water. What she thought was a pond, was a river. she could hear cracking as she fell under the surface, the sound of a Redwood hitting the ground close by. BANG She felt her leg being scratched. She took five quick breaths of wonderful rainy air as her nose peirced the night. She felt the cold air hitting her. Feeling the water on her side, she knew that she was faced toward the land. Kciking the redwood, she got her neck out of the water, and resting, but bearly. Mud pushed her back in. She felt the sense of dying, and all that she'd miss... She yelled for help, bearly making an echo above the noise...

Craven walked near by searching his mind in a daze. The storm raged on as sleet hit his sleek hide. He stopped suddenly hearing a small noise. It made not another sound and he continued his pondering before he heard the cry again. Maybe his mind was playing tricks on him He walked on until he came across a large river. The waves were steadily growing as he searched the water for answers. In the dark he spotted a piece of onyx mane floating along the river torrents. A head popped above the surface just long enough for a blood curdling scream to hit his ears. As if it had been the only thing he could do he dove into the raging river.
Freezing water numbed his pain as large branches hit his sides. As the water rose he found Toff again unconsious in the water but still alive. A large wall of water hit him full on and he fell under the water. As his body rose he grabbed Toff and slung her over his back. Kicking and fighting for both their lives he reached the shore. In a daze he reached higher ground and lay Toff on the dry earth. Than in exhaustion he blacked out.

iris, at home, began to worry. She had finally got up from her river seat, from the current picking up. She had heard screams and began searching. Her legs and ears were numb. She was so scared she had been crying a little. She had begun a gallop, every once in awhile. She searched the rivers, her main fear im drowning. She felt she's die if he did. She looked at the river, and saw her mate and toff. She ran over to the unconcience horses. She grabbed eaches mane, and pulled through choking tears, yanking them under a near by redwood. She checked for breathing, shock, and possible breaks. They seemed fine. Cuts, and bleeding, definate, though. toffs leg looked broken, they were breathing. She lay between them, watching them and praying.
