Trotting behind Allura, Bear strided in, a little anxious. No horse had ever crossed and come back once. Every night, and on cold days, Snow drifted to the sky, poisoning the blue sky with the ripples of grey. He turned his head while trotting, making the sky come to his veiw. She clenched his teeth. No, he wasn't scared really. He wanted to find the secret out. What could it be? Whatever is was, He didn't care what it was, he just wanted to know what it could be... As they approached the bridge, and cantered ahead, stepping and pawing at the bridge to check for security. It creaked and swayed violently. Spread eagled, he shifted all his weight and body on the bridge. He wanted to see if it was safe. He Took three steps, and it began to sway and creak viciously, threatening. He looked back, and then continued of, half falling every so often. The wood was a little soggy from lack of use and Fog. A plank broke under his weight in surprise, he reared, backing up, then plank behind him on his back hoof stapping under pressure. he paced in the same spot for a couple of seconds, regaining control. He was about 3/4 away from the other side, gone in about 1/4. He yelled out, [glow=red,2,300]"It's Safe I think!"[/glow]

Allura's arabian blood gave her a small, slender build, making her many pounds lighter than Bear. She reached out daintily with one front hoove, then plced it softly upon the swaying wood. She walked smoothly, slowing down at some points to carefully step over gaps in the wood or to avoid small holes, but other than that she made good time to reach Bear. She had to step widely over the places where Bear had two boards fall out from.
"Then let's keep going,"
Allura said drawing up right behind Bear.
Unless of course, your scared."
She said the last remark teasingly, with amusement shining in her now bright brown eyes. She tossed her head to get her forelock out of her eyes abnd to settle her wind blown mane. She snorted slightly impatient to get moving.

He gave a playful glare, but realized how much he could be invading her. he nickered. He began to trot, the soggy peices of wood crutching under his feet. He Finally made it across, watching to make sure she got across. He heard a sudden talking, he couldn't understand. There was a shhhing. He Nickered in wonder. He turned, seeing a old broken down house and ranch. The fence was filled with spiders. The hiss of a snake awoke from the edge of the House. The top of the house was down, probably from oldness and rain. Bits and peices of the house and fence were missing. He looked back at Allura making sure she made it across okay.he had a stange feeling in the pit of his stomache about this place...

Allura followed after Bear, her footsteps light on the soggy, swayign boards of the bridge. When the ranch house came into view she eyed it warily, knowing something was wrong. But what?,she thought, reaching the ned of the rbdige and standing beside Bear. Her ears flickered nervously and he long, silky black tail swished even though there were no flies. She snorted. There was a bad feeling hangover the ranch and surrondings like a dark shadow. She pranced on her slender legs unhappily, then glanced at Bear. Did he sense it too?

Bear turned through the corner. Another horse was tied to the fence, a gelding, red colored. He watched their every movements. In the center was a glowing element, like red flying water. Surrounding it, blankets. Bear walked toward the glowing life. It didn't fear or scare. It couldn't be alive. His pushed his nose into it. The glow lickd up his nose. Pain shot to his head as a reared and whinnied, shaking his head in anger. The Kicked, a bucket spilling over, hitting the licking flames. They left, dissapearing. Smoke lifted to the sky. An odd yell appeared from the broked unused house. His nose still stining, all hair on his nose began to singe. He bucked and reared wildly, in attempts to get it off. He jumped up, his head hitting the ground first up. The dust made it stop. He began to get up, hearing steps of something...

Allura eyed the gelding then watched curiously as Bear put his nose into the strange orange-water, then began panicking when he pulled it out in pain. She watched unsure of what to do as Bear bucked and reared wildly, then saw the strange two legged creatures approach Bear. She had a flash back, then knew instantly what they were. Humans. She saw the ropes they carried, probaley to capture Bear, maybe her too. So she sprung from the shadows and reared up at the humans, neighing furiosuly at them. She bared her teeth and lunged, trying to keep them away. They threw a rope loop at her, and she dodged trying to avoid it,but another was thrown and soared up to her head then dropped to her neck and tightened. She gasped, then reared in anger. She tried to pull away from the humans, but they had gotten another rope over her head. She kept rearing, bucking and just trying to escape. She lunged at one of the humans holding a rope and bit him. He screamed dropping the rope, but almost instantly another snaked it's way over to fall around her neck. She knew she couldn't escape, not right now anyway.
So,she looked at Bear and whickered softly, telling him to leave while he still could. Her eyes showed nothing except defeat and then love for Bear.
"Good bye,"
She nickered sadly.

He neighed in anger. he ran toward on of the two-legged things. As he got about two feet, He fell backward on his back. He began to thrash as he looked up, seeing a mare with one of those two legged animals on it's back. Were these things killers? He did not know. He never seen them. Bear felt a thick hit as his outstretched leg hit another horse. A rope went over his neck again and pulled. He coughed as it held on, closing in. He was pulled up. He kicked as They pulled on him and tied him to a old dead Redwood. He should've been smarter, her thought. He had just putten himself and Allura in greater dangers than he could think. He could amagine... Would they eat them? Kill them? he did not know. After they finished tying him, (With new injuries such as bruises, fractured arm, and 4 broken ribs) They Began talking in a cheery tone. As one walked by to examine their catching, he kicked em. Bear was mad. He knew what they were after he rocognized them. They were men. There were seven men, a small men, and a lady men. He was angered.
He Bucked and reared madly. He bit the rope and yanked. No use at the races, no use now. But he didn't give up. He yahnked so hard one point, he fell. The rope snapped, but he didn't leave. First to get allura out, then. He waited till the night. They were awake, the liquid red rose again. It stung his nose. He snorted. He watched as the people began to eat like savage pigs. They put dead chicken on the fire until they smelled unlike any other dead animal he'd smelled. He Began to take everthing he saw. The red stuff, he dug into his memories. it was Feer, he thought. The two legged things were a men. The Small men were Colts and fillies. The ones with long manes were men ladies. They all wore hets. They carried bridleless bridles. He waited till they fell asleep. It took forever. They finally fell dead. They were probably to rise again though. he walked silently... he saw Alluras post where she was tied. He trotted over.

Allura stooded, trying to think of an escape plan. She herd hoof-steps behind her and turned. She almost whinnied with delight to see it was Bear and that he was free, but managed to control herself. She settled for nuzzling him gently instead.
" Leave, "
She murmured softly.
"Before they catch you again.I'll be alright, I'll escape soon. Please, just leave."
She turned away from him, her eyes dampened by tears. She just hoped he'd get away before the humans awoke.

Bear, angered by her words, did not care. The pain of leaving your home to work for a low living creature was worse then dying. He didn't care the noise. He banged the fence. It fell down, and the rope dangled from Alluras rope, followed by a tiny peice of wood that survived. RUN! He yelled. The people got up, and grabbed a rope. Missing the rope, he kicked a men in the chin. He fell down, squirming. The lady men ran up to him, the others on their trail. Bear yelled, Get on the bridge! Bear side stepped, pushing someone backward. He galloped to the side and the other, distracting them. He didn't want this to happen. He reared, missing the ropes.

Allura turned and dashed widly for the bridge, dodging ropes and humans. Just when it looked like she'd get awya the small human colt stepped infront of the bridge, blocking her escape. She stopped, not wanting to hurt him. She dodged to the left, but he moved quickly to block her. She reared, the whites of her eyes showing, her powerful blakc legs flailing.
"Move!!"
She whinnied furiously, not sure if he'd understand.
He stood his ground, and she couldn't figure out what to do. Two of the big human colts can towards her, having noticed her trying to escape. they shouted something to the little colt, who then took a step towards her. She backed up, and tripped over a rope the two big humans a stretched across the ground behind her. She went down hard and before she could regain herself, she felt two ropes burn into her skin. She neighed and lunged to her feet, trying to gallop onto the bridge. The humans held tight. She turned and kicked out at on, hitting him hard in the chest. He fell to the ground, a horrible, screeching sound coming form his lips. She lunged again, dragging the rope form her other captors hand. She looked aroudn rearing and dodging to avoid ropes. She spotted Bear doing the same and called to him, telling him to leave now, that it was her turn to hold off the humans. She had a plan, but it would only work if Bear lefted. She couldn't risk the humans getting into the Redwood's and hurting all the others, so she had to do something to prevent it. She neighed at Bear again, telling him to go, her eyes pleading with him to listen to her.

Bear did not budge. He looked at the colt, and grabbing it by it's mane, yanked it out of the way. It began to cry, but he was mad. One of the mens grabbed bear on the nose and poked something sharp at him. He reared and ran toward Allura's spot, and banged one of the people. Again, on the other side. He ran toward the bridge with her, but things began to go blurry. The spot where they poked him was nubing. His head was numbing. He should've known. He knew this feeling. When they had to shoe him, he went crazy, and stuck him with the same pointed object with the same feeling... Neck first, he fell down. The mens said something about "Redwood." Bear looked at Allura, his look saying "RUN NOW!"

Allura couldn't leave Bear, not now, not ever. She stood over him, kicking furiously at the humans. They pulled back slightly, and seemed to just wait. Allura stopped moving, and stood, her breath coming in short, laboured gasps. She didn't budge from Bear's side. The humans moved in around her again. She barely struggled as they put two thick ropes around her neck. She lowered her head and nuzzled Bear's side.
The humans pulled gently on the ropes, trying to persuade her to move. She wouldn't. She would not leave Bear's side, no matter what.
She neighed half heartedly, her eyes showing her tired she was. She couldn't keep fighting, but when Bear was better they would break free together, she just had to wait.
