The time to forget is not so easy. Midnight had known that she needed to let go, to go on with her life. What she didn't know was that it would be so hard. They were a few things the almost 3 yr old had to let go of. The first was the hopeless filly crush that she had had on Bear. She hadn't seen Bear for a while and that was helping her so much. It was too hard to forget him in his land, surrounded by lingering scents of him. So she came here, where it was easier. She looked around at the other horses, wondering why they were here. She saw a band of horses talking. They looked like the rogues. A soft wind came, holding a whisper that hit her ears, it whispered, let go, now let the wind take your worries she told herself that since she didn't hold a chance with Bear it was helpless to go on feeling tied down by him. She told herself that he had changed from kind to, well, a brute. She still loved the old him, the tender one, and she would untuil she met someone who she could love for who they were now. That fact accepted she felt a pang in her hear as she remembered what had haunted her forever that she had to get rid of. Her sister, her mother, and her father. That fact was so much harder. She thought of the heart look on her sisters face when Midnight had threatened her, and felt a pang in her heart. She thought of the white eyes that were too like her family. And she thought of how much they didn't care, they had never spoken to her, except Blue Mist. She lifted her arabian head to the sky and let the wind carry away her worries. Next time she saw any of them ever again, they weren't her family, they were just another light family that needed to end. These thoughts in mind, she felt free to be who she really was
Midnight Cobalt, not the darkest of the lights, but one of the darkest of the dars and Midnight Cobalt, who was friend of Bear's, who no longer blushed for Bear.
