Toff was searching for food and water, anyway it came. She'd been eating bark ever since winter started, but it was hard to get it off and actually chew... She was just skin and bones, her ribs looked like they had nothing between them with Rubber caked onto it.
Searched desperately, till finally she reached the grassy hills. She knew the was a river here somewhere... She began to trot, limping her backleg because of infection getting worse and worse from a prairie dog bite when Bear, Ares, and Allura first had their talk.
She trotted slow and easily, the wobble of her bones and the fears of slipping without seeing. Suddenly, she felt something like a rock, she slipped and fell, her cranium almost bashing into it. Her audits pricked to feel freeze of this rock greatly... Ice!
She attempted to get up, but too slippery, she fell. She tried once more... Bang! 5 more times, she was now sore in 5 places. She couldn't get up. She tried again and again and ag-CRACK!
She felt icy all around her. It engulfed, and the feel of pain errupted. Like pressurous cold, the feel of numbing with pain, the intensity of feeling your own mucles being frozen...
I hate water, she thought, this being her second time stuck. In desperation, she called, feeling her lungs fil with water. She swallowed some, and the only part of her that felt good was the wonderful beautiful taste of icy water.
She kicked the earther under her. She felt her cranium smash into something: Ice. Again. Ice. Again. Harder Ice.
The current was pushing her farther down the aisle. Her cranium felt numbing on her cheeks. She paniced. Lashing out did no good. She continued, till a smash was heard. It cracked and she felt freeze on her head.
She thought she felt the air pushing against her. She pushed up to get out, but felt a pain on her head and the hard ice. Blood silently flowed from her cranium cap, like smoke thin and crisp, snaking down the water. It continued.
She felt it carress her more and more, until she paniced again, and screamed loudly, knowing it wouldn't do any good. She continued, until the world slipped away from her already unseeing eyes. She felt an exsistance, did she have a chance? A starving horse, hurt in many places, already losing the survival battle from a bite of a prarie dog wasn't worth saving... bu she still felt the warmth of the fire that was inside of her, getting smaller and smaller...
