Midnight was a rebel, that was all. No one else saw her as any thing more than that. Nothing was worse. The snow swirled around her and hid her black form, she shook, the snow flew everywhere. She stood in the bank of snow, her heart tugged to pull free of the bonds that held her down, the bonds called pain. She needed to vent but had no one to vent to, she stood, her black coat standing out amongst the pure white and waited, she needed to rid herself of the pain she felt, but she didn't know how, she needed to know why her parents had treated her so badly, she needed to know why she was born different than her perfect sister, she needed to know!
She look down at the snow
" I need to know"
she whispered.

Even though it was winter Blue Mist was full of energy. Come on mom she yelled running ahead of Athena. Blue Mist closed her eyes for a moment as she just loving the feeling. Omp she yelled. Blue Mist had run into something black. Middy she said is that you?

Midnight turned at the sound of Blue Mist's little nickname. She saw her sister runnning up with Athena at her side.
What a disgrace, still Mommy's perfect angel, are you? Can you even graze yet?
She looked coldly at her sister, then turned to her mom, Athena.
And look at you, still babying her, aren't you? How could you let her get such a bad injury in her neck? What in iresponsible mother. What would you have done if you had lost both daughters? It would have been all your fault!
She came up to Athena and Blue Mist
I'm not the helpless fily you remember, now I can bite back!

Blue Mist listened to the harse words of her sister. She thought she was so smart just because she got a stupid potion that made her three years older then her. blue Mist might had being a light, and might of being a yearling but she wouldn't take her sister talk to her mother that way.
Will you just stop it! Blue Mist stood bewteen her mother and Midnight. You are always telling Dad or Mom that they are such terrible parents when they did everything right. Maybe you don't rembered because you aged three years in one day but it was me who chased you off. I tried to change you so you would be like me. You where always saying no body except are family liked you so I tried to change you so you would be like but instead you take everything out on mom and dad! You went out to find friends and now you are alone freezing in the snow!

Athena was dumbfounded and wanted to punish them both, but she couldn't

Midnight walked around Blue Mist, watching her with one white eye
Mom doesn't need your help and neither do I, you helpless light fillly! I never needed anyone's help! Especially not yours!! As for being alone, freezing in the snow, I have friends, but you know me, oh no, wait, you don't! You never bothered to try to know me for me, Midnight Cobalt, the rebel, that's all you saw, but you had barely even scratched the surface! I chose this and I am happy with it!
Thoughts of Toff and Bear flew to her head, Toff was hiding something and Bear was gone, was she alone?
She turned to Athena
So, mother, you haven't told your own family of you little mistake, have you? What a horrible thing you've done... go ahead, tell them!
Athena felt herself get angrier and angrier and her daughter's words, what right had she to speak like so?
"I have a right to make my own decisions and so do you, but you have crossed the line with your bad attitude! I can't believe you would dare to speak to your mother like that! You were a bad child from the start!"
She turned and kicked Midnight, hard. right in the rib cage.
Midnight grew mad but restrained herself, fighting wasn't worth it, not when blood least needed to be spilled.
Nobody understands me! I thought Bear had, but he's gone, I thought Toff did, but she's hiding something, why??
She asked herself
Mother, it's your fault, Blue Mist, it's your fault, but more it's my fault for being who I am! I can bite back and I will, watch your step with me, both of you!

Blue Mist stood still in the snow. She had tried to change Midnight so she woundn't be lonely but her mother had done something to. Midnight I tried to change you so you would have friends, I didn't and still don't care if you are dark! Blue Mist though stared at her mother. I tried to help Middy but what did you do?

Athena just shook her head

Midnight grinned evilly
"I will tell you sister, what your dear mother did"
Athena felt chills go threw her,
No, you won't! That's my story to tell!
She ran forward and bit Midnight's flank, charging her away then galloped in the other direction, hoping Blue Mist would follow.
Midnight turned to her mother's retreating back
Good bye mother
she whispered, her head framed by the falling snow. She turned and ran away, but what was that voice?

Blue Mist looked at her mother run away. I am sorry mother Blue Mist whispered. If Athena had hurt her sister, even if Athena was her mother Midnight felt it was right for Midnight to tell her. Blue Mist looked at Midnight I am sorry that over this past year I have caused you pain if you trulely want to tell me then here I am to listen.

Midnight wanted to find a friend, but she was scared that Blue Mist and Athena would run into her again and Midnight just wanted to pretend that they had never happened, that this had never happened, when she was around lights she wasn't the same Midnight, she was full of hatred when she was around lights
