Nakota's pace slowed, her head bobbing as she moved along the path into the darkened areas of the Redwoods. She nickered softly, inhalling the deep greeny scent of the forest around her.
Pausing, she tilted her chin upward, her dark eyes watching the trees as ther reached up...up...up so high that the roan mare couldn't see the sky beyond them. It was awe inspiring and beautiful; something she hand never dreamed to see in her lifetime.
Lowering her crown, she began to pick gentle steps threw the massive redwood trees, ears shifting for sounds of any thing around her. |

Golden hide shimmered in the welcomed sun. Bright black orbs shone and a faint grin played across gentle kissers at the sight of another. Long arabian legs sped from placid walk to fluid trot, bringing the beautiful golden mare upon the other.

She spoke, her lyrics kind so as not to surprise the other mare. She hoped the other wouldn't be put off by her joyous and outgoing nature, Gypsy was incredibly bored and needed to talk to someone, anyone.

The vocals made Nakota jump, her head whipping around toward the speaker. Her eyes were wide, thoughts racing threw her mind as to who or what could be coming up on her.
But the form was a mare, golden as sunbeams, her eyes gentle enough to make the roan blue mare relax within a instant of seeing the stranger. Nakota bobbed her head in greeting, nickering a welcome to the other in hopes that she was also looking for a friend... or at lease, just not to be alone.

A weak smile came to the Femme's finely dished cranium. She had been up all night healing, it was terribly tiring. At the other's slightly humourous lyrics the smile took on a tint of laughter.
I know how you feel. Especially with the nuetral herds being so near empty, I was worried the big mare stealing had already happened.
The lyrics bubbled free without thought. What if this other mare was dark? She had just admmitted to being nuetral.... most darks aren't fond of nuetrals.

(is ok  ) Nakota tossed her crown slightly in agreement, her steps delicate as she picked her way casually toward the other mare. The blue roan understood the fear; Fine Arena had been aweful silent as of late, and she often with days without seeing her lord, Desert Storm, or her herdmates.
" Big mare stealing? I don't know... Fine Arena hasn't had any problems, but that might be cause we are so few..." |

Intelligent orbs grew quizzical, was she the only one who had heard of the big mare stealing? Maybe it was all a dream, no a nightmare. She had been in the rogue heard and left after Furry had kicked Lyric, his own leadmare, out. Worried that she was going crazy, she lowered her slender boa and took a mouthful of grass.
Yah, the rogues are planning on stealing... but maybe that annoying, overprideful, Lyric has managed to stop them.
Gypsy felt her cheeks flame as she showed her distain for the other. During her short stay with the rogue herd the two had barely lived without killing eachother, let alone got along.

Nakota bobbed her head softly, halting in her motion.
"That... might have been why I have seen so little of Desert Storm and the others. I was wondering..."
The little roan turned her head, then words from her new acquaintance making her a little nervous, but she was happier knowing then being in the dark like she was.
" I guess it's good that it was stopped, but.... are we still in danger from it? I mean, will they still try?" |
